Beachfront wedding weekend celebration in the Algarve!
After formal nuptials in Ireland, Victoria and Stephen hopped on a plane to Portugal with a hundred of their closest family and friends, to spend a holiday weekend partying on the beach, making their wedding an unforgettable celebration.
There was great food, signature cocktails, spontaneous bursts into songs, dances, toasts and speeches.
The pair opted to make their wedding a gathering without the typical wedding day traditions, like a ceremony! No, it was a two days of hugging, kissing, dancing, drinking & eating experience. The two days were simply spent in amazing company, honouring the newlyweds.
We loved capturing all the moments and the happy atmosphere of their untraditional wedding day, wrapped in a sunny algarve weekend, celebrating their marriage!

Day one started off with a bbq at on the terrace of the Bold Octopus, a beachfront restaurant over looking the sea. The food was accompanied by music staring with the saxophonist, Socrates Borras, entertaining the crowd, and ending with a dance party with The Daddy Jack Band. There was an open bar serving shots to toast the new couple as well as a welcome signature coattail that by the end of the evening made for a wild dance floor!
Being situated in Almancil, by one of the most beautiful and tranquil beaches in the Algarve, we took a stroll with the couple and their immediate family on the shore and snapped some fun and happy family portraits as well as a sunset shoot with the bride and groom. The orange pink sunset illuminated the sky and perfectly matched the sangria signature cocktail of the day.
The wedding portrait session was a refection of their spontaneity and playful style, just having some fun on the beach, splashing in the wake off the shore. Victorias amazing wedding dress was perfect for a beach weekend wedding, tailored into a mini to suit the summer vibes.
Day two was a seafood feast lunch at BJ’s Oceanside, with amazing dishes, a true experience of what the Algarve fishing village has to offer. Following the wonderful lunch the party continued as guests made speeches to honour the couple. As the evening approached there was lots and lots of dancing and groups of guests bursting into songs, sea shanties and Irish limericks!
