Sarah and Vincent are from New York. On their holiday to Portugal last Summer they came down to the Algarve for some sea, sun and a maternity session. We got together in the early morning, just after sunrise, exploring a near empty beach and having a splash in the ocean. It was a super fun and playful session, lots of energy for an early morning shoot! We loved getting to know this pair. They have already become a trio and have a new addition to the family!

Joanna and Sebastian were married in a small ceremony in Poland last Summer. For their honeymoon they travelled to Portugal for a bit of adventure and some wedding portraits. We met up with the pair in Ferragudo, a picturesque fishing village in the western Algarve. We sought out the pretties cobblestone streets and captured a bit of the newlywed magic between the love birds.
Next stop was a beach location in Alvor just a short drive away. We explored the beautiful beach and the intimate coves and eventually climbed to the clifftops for a spectacular sunset view. Joanna and Sebastian were so lovely, fun and excited to be in the Algarve. It was a pleasure showing them a few of our favourite spots!

We are so excited for 2021 and all the beautiful weddings up ahead. We can’t wait for the Summer so we can get back to taking some stunning photographs of our beautiful couples and capturing happy moments.
For now we love capturing portrait sessions in the wonderful winter light. We look forward to sharing more of our personal work on the blog in the upcoming months.

So excited to have our shoot featured in the lifestyle section of Vogue Germany over Christmas!
We met up with Delia Lachance, founder of Westwing Deutschland at her new home in the Algarve. It was just coming up to Christmas and to capture some of the festive mood Delia baked some delicious cherry pancakes (recipe on vogue.de) She also decorated the tree with their new line of ornaments and set up the dining table with touches from their crockery and decor collection.

2020 has been an odd year, but it has given us a lot of time to reflect and catch up on old projects. So we’ve taken the opportunity to revisit some of the photos we never had time to edit and were always siting in the ‘to do ‘ pile (for 3 years!).
Our 2017 trip to New Zealand was a highlight and a tick off the bucket list. We spent over 3 weeks campervanning around the South Island. Always surrounded by surreal scenery and sheep.
We hope you enjoy looking though some of our travel photos, we just wanted to start off 2021 with sweet wanderlust, as we will not be traveling anywhere this winter, here’s dreaming of the next big travel adventure!

Denise and Adrian had a wonderfully epic wedding this year in Cascais.
They are both from London and were determined to have their destination wedding in Portugal. It was originally meant to be a big party with family and friends attending from all over the world. Instead it turned into an intimate celebration, lovely and romantic, an amazing day that came together beautifully.
The day started off early, with preparations for traditional Chinese wedding door games and tea ceremony prior to the wedding itself. Denise and Adrian were dressed in traditional Chinese bride and groom wear and embraced all the wonderful elements of a Chinese wedding. The games were hilarious, as the groom underwent a variety of ‘tests’ to prove his love to the bride as she watched, thoroughly entertained!
The tea ceremony and a cocktail hour followed. Then the preparations for the wedding ceremony began.
Adrian and Denise tied the knot under a beautiful canopy of flowers overlooking the sea. The ceremony was officiated by a close friend and the romantic soundtrack was provided by the talented Leandro Russo and the Piano Man Band.
We then whisked the newlyweds off for some stunning portraits at sunset, to the famous Guincho beach and the beautiful rocks of Cascais.
At the reception the guests dined alfresco style in the courtyard. Making beautiful toasts to the newlyweds and enjoying an endless course of meals and free pouring wine. Much love, dancing and happy tears concluded the evening late in the night.
We are so excited to have been a part of this beautiful and fun wedding (and yes, the blog post will seem endless, but there was so many amazing moments and events in the day, we just couldn’t help ourselves!)

We got married at the Quinta in Cintra and my wife found Matt and Lena somehow on the internet. In all the craziness of organising a wedding, they were one of the few constants. Always organized, and very prepared (they even went on a trip from Alvor to Lisbon to check out the light in the area!). The wedding day was exceptional as they popped up around the place like Ninjas - you will never be able to see them both - making sure to get loads of genuine shots of everyone from dawn til dusk. My husband and I traveled from Toronto to Portugal for our elopement and we were so fortunate that Matt and Lena were available on our wedding day. Throughout the booking process they were quick to respond to emails and set a Skype date to go over all of the logistics for our day, as well as to answer any questions we had - and we had a lot! Matt and Lena were very social and created a comfortable environment which was great since it was just the four of us during the six hour photo shoot. The photos turned out stunning and we have received compliments from everyone who has seen them. The photos really captured the nuance moments throughout the day in a very natural way and we will cherish them forever. Matt and Lena were recommended to us by our wedding planner, Susana Santos. We were sold from the get-go (just take a look at their beautiful pictures!), and meeting them in person only reaffirmed that we had made the right decision. We were a bit iffy about doing an engagement shoot but it was a great idea in the end as we got to be very comfortable with Matt and Lena which made things far easier on the actual wedding day! The pictures are fabulous and a year after our wedding people are still commenting on just how beautiful the photos are.
