The Alenejo is one of those still undiscovered places, so completely beautiful and off the beaten track, which is what makes it so special. We don’t get to shoot much in this region of Portugal but when we do it’s always amazing.
We love the west coast of Portugal and Alentejo has some of the most stunning, wild beaches along it’s coast, however the inland of this beautiful province is just as magical. With vast golden fields, magnificent vineyards and endless blue sky it has a unique quality and wonderful light.
Malhadinha Nova is an Alentejo family estate and a working vineyard situated in a small village in the heart of ‘Baixo’ Alentejo.
The vines are vast, there are lots of winding roads with fantastic views, a rustic venue but with modern elements. Beautiful, peaceful and romantic, a perfect place for an intimate wedding celebration.

Emily and Ben are from the UK and had the venue exclusively for the entire weekend for their destination wedding in Portugal. It was a very laid back and relaxed wedding with the closest family and friends all staying on the estate.
The spot where they got married was in the vineyard at sunset, they dined under a full moon & candlelight and the party went long into the night.
We loved spending the day with Emily and Ben and exploring this wonderful place. Look forward to visiting again and perhaps doing some wine tasting!
