Dina & Matthieu tied the knot under an olive tree at Conversas De Alpendre, a boutique hotel in Tavira, Portugal. A wedding venue that is modern, minimalist and effortlessly luxurious.
The destination wedding in the Algarve was a way to share their love of travel with family and friends who joined them on their adventure. The pair drove from their hometown in France in a camper van with their 2 furry best friends down to the south coast of Portugal.
The Algarve is a special place for the pair, it is where Matthieu proposed while on a stroll around Nosa Senhora de Rocha, under the blue skies and a very hot sun!
Conversas De Alpendre has a unique mix of luxury and wild rustic charm. The bridal preparations took place in a tree house, while the groom got ready on the terrace overlooking the pool.
The ceremony was adorned with olive branches and flowers, with the alter wrapped in flowy fabric that fluttered in the soft breeze of the warm October autumn.
After the ceremony, we took a stroll with the newlyweds around the tree house and orange orchard, exploring the grounds of the venue.
The inspiration behind the wedding reception tables came from the natural surroundings of the location. Using dried fruits from the Carob trees called Alfarroba as name cards with personalised messages to each guest. Olive branches were set to adorn the centre of the tables with flowers and candles mixed in. As well as pictures from their past, of family and friends, their travels and special moments of their lives.
The wedding was an intimate, alfresco affair, a day surrounded by nature and love. A relaxed atmosphere with an organic feel, a fun reception and a dance floor under the stars made this unique wedding a reflection of the couples personal style.
