We first visited the Bella Vista nearly 10 years ago, when it was a hillside ruin with spectacular vistas and vast grounds. It was for a wonderfully intimate rustic wedding in Sintra. Daniel & Doreen Wedding.
We met Aline, the new owner of the property, who styled and organised the day for her brother and his bride. The ceremony took place on the terrace of the Bella Vista under stunning tall oak trees. Due to the starting of the renovations and construction the rest of the day was spent exploring Sintra. From preparations at the Seteais Hotel next door, and the picnic cocktails on Adraga beach to an alfresco reception at Quinta Matalva close by.

Since then we have been visiting the Bella Vista almost yearly, each time the boutique hotel, little by little, was evolving into a magical place.

Recently all the renovations were completed and the estate opened to visitors and weddings. The main palace was the last to be completed and we couldn’t wait to see the new place, dreamed up and styled by Aline and Alex over the last decade.
We photographed a lifestyle shoot with Aline to introduce the property. Here is a small glimpse of the weekend spent at the Bella Vista.
Since then we have also photographed a fashion campaign at the property. And look forward to shooting more project here in the future, including some stunning weddings and elopements. It truly is one of the most romantic places.
