Delia and King are from Malaysia, on their adventure together through Europe they were enamoured with the enchanting landscape of Slovenia and in particular the unique Lake Bled located in the heart of the country. We were so excited to meet this lovely adventurous couple and share the day with them taking in the sights and capturing some pretty sweet photos.

We met Delia and King at a small cafe near their hotel and ventured out to an old town near by to stroll around the colourful buildings and busy squares, with people enjoying the sunny day, chatting on the patios of cafes on narrow cobbled streets, having coffee and crempitas (the most amazing desert of creme and custard sandwiched between flaky sugar dusted pastry)
From the town, the lake stretched before us, a beautiful emerald-green body of water surrounded by lush hills and snow peak mountains, medieval castle, docks with traditional Pletna boats bobbing in the soft waves, and in the middle a rock island on which stands a chapel. It truly is a breathtaking site whichever way you look!

The climb to the view point was especially awesome. The trail to Mala Osojnica is a beautiful hike and once we reached the top we were alone there to take in the most magnificent view.

“… the carriage ride around Lake Bled, the boat to the islet, ringing the wishing bell, promising eternal love to each other…Bled offers several amazing locations for weddings. Amongst the most popular are the Bled Castle and the church on the Bled island. The Bled Culture institute boasts a rich tradition in organising wedding ceremonies at the oldest castle in Slovenia. Perched on a cliff high above the lake, Bled Castle and its castle wall form a perfect backdrop for your wedding day. The view from the castle overlooking Bled and the Gorenjska region is unforgettable…” Learn more about Bled, Slovenia HERE.
