We met Katharine & Artsem in the Algrve about a year prior to their wedding, while they were campervaning across the country and discovering all the amazing and picturesque places in Portugal. On their travels they came across Conversas de Alpendre, a rustic boutique hotel in Tavira with a quirky tree house and wooden huts. A very serene, beautiful and unique place, perfect for their intimate wedding and a fun weekend.
The pair are from Germany and a destination wedding in Portugal was planned to be a wonderful holiday and celebration with family and friends. After the news of the pandemic and the ‘touch and go’ Summer, it was not certain that their dream wedding was going to happen this Autumn. But with determination and a ‘go with the flow’ attitude, the day went perfectly with only a few changes to the original plan. By keeping their wedding minimal and staying flexible with some details, they got to celebrate their amazing wedding day, and it was truly super fun, emotional and romantic.
We loved all the enthusiasm of friends who helped on the day. Kat’s floral bouquet was made with olive branches and wild flowers from the grounds of the venue. A close fried officiated their ceremony and of course there was Apollo, the flower dog, a beloved pet who was an important member of the bridal party.
We are so happy we got to capture all the wonderful moments. It truly was a bright spot this year, thanks Kat and Art for having us be a part of your beautiful day!
