We live on the 6th floor of an apartment building, facing south. In the distance I can see the ocean. Underneath just a stone throw away there is a little house with lots of land. On that land there are olive trees and almond trees even a few orange trees. There is grass and even taller grass and wild flower patches scattered all around. There are horses and one donkey. This shoot was inspired by all these things. I though places like these only thrived in my imagination but ever since I’ve moved to the Algarve I’ve been surprised every day to find extraordinary beauty in the most ordinary of places, like just outside the door, in this vast back garden.
