The west coast beaches of the Algarve are well know for some of the best surfing in the world. There are times when this coast can be wild, with rough seas and strong winds, but at other times it is as serene and romantic as the light at sunset. As the sun dips into the vast ocean it bathes the beach in the loveliest light. This beach is located near Aljezur, and we photographed here around 5:15 pm, just as the sun was slowly disappearing into the winter night.
