A dream destination wedding in Portugal and a holiday for all.
The pair tied the knot at Vila Monte Cristo in Lagos. Their wedding in western Algarve was an intimate and pretty ceremony held outside in the garden. The reception was a laid back BBQ on the property. A super chilled and relaxed party with family and friends.
After the wedding Sam and Kyla’s plans are to travel along the west coast of Portugal looking for great surfing spots! Later they will continue their journey from the north of Portugal to France and Italy. A fantastic adventure for the newlyweds!

The coast west of Lagos, as far as Sagres, remains one of the least spoiled and most beautiful parts of the Algarve, largely thanks to the Parque Natural da Costa Vicentina. Most of the coast is linked by a craggy coast path and you can easily walk between the villages: Salema to Luz, or Luz to Lagos, in particular, are beautiful routes.
Lagos is one of the Algarve’s most attractive and historic towns, its centre is enclosed in fourteenth-century walls at the mouth of the Ribeira de Bensafrim. For all its historical significance, Lagos’s main attraction is its proximity to some of the region’s best beaches. To the east is the long sweep of Meia Praia, while to the west – from Praia de Dona Ana to Porto de Mós– you’ll find the series of coves, caves and rock stacks for which the Algarve is best known.
