. . .
It was the last day of spring and Melissa and Ralph’s wedding day had finally arrived.
It started off with a sweet relaxing morning at Melissa’s, and very much a spa like day at Ralph’s lounging around in the pool, soaking in the hot tub and strumming the guitar.
The ceremony was melodic, everyone sang in the beginning, though the middle and at the end, it was pretty cool.
Earlier on in the spring we made a trip to Duna Beach in Lagos to check out the venue Ralph and Melissa chose for their reception. Just by chance we stumbled on to an old abandoned train station with a wild unkept field stretching on for miles behind it and pretty floral trees sprouting sporadically all around. It was an amazing find, like when people at antique/junk shops spot something priceless. We knew we had to bring Ralph and Melissa here for some wedding portraits and so an the way from the church to the venue we made a stop.
They were super cool to indulge us in tracking though waist high weeds, especialy with Melissa’s tule dress that picked up EVERYTHING.
At Duna beach reception they were welcomed with pink drinks, acoustic jams from The Originals, and a surprise message that came from the sky!
When everyone was on the dance floor Ralph joined the band for a few sets and rocked out on the drums. We knew he drummed from our conversations before but we had no idea just how brilliant of a drummer he was!
And the party raged on.
