Earlier that day….

“Aimee and Sam traveled all the way from New Zealand for their adventurous destination elopement in Portugal this spring.
They wanted a pretty, outdoor ceremony in a secluded, romantic place and they wanted to spend the day exploring the Algarve while newlywed, smitten and in love.
It was an amazing day that started off in Praia Da Rocha in Portimao where we hoped into the car and headed up to the Monchique Mountain range. The ceremony was to take place in Caldas Do Monchique, amongst the stone and wood picnic tables surrounded by large oaks, ponds and natural springs. The sound in this place was magic….cascading water, a spring breeze rustling the leaves, birds singing, and yet all so quietly.
Following the ceremony it was a chance for Aimee and Sam to try Mendronha for the first time, Portugal’s firewater, a sort or right of passage for anyone visiting.
For the evening we headed to Tres Irmaos beach in Alvor and explored the caves and cliffs of this incredible spot.
