When the tide is out and the sun is setting the Tres Irmaos beach in Alvor transforms into a very magical place, almost other worldly.
We love it.
When Peter and Irina contacted us to photograph their portrait session while they were on holiday in the Algarve we suggested Alvor as the setting. They are both from Russia but live in Germany and enjoy travelling. When we met them they were in the early days of planning their wedding and trying to decide on the destination.
Irina is a very accomplished and talented photographer and we were quite nervous shooting a session with her. You can check out Irina’s work here, Irina Lackmann She has been shooting professionally since she was 16 and her work has taken her to amazing places from Paris and Venice to the beautiful Mauritius islands off the coast of Africa.
It was a dream session, Irina and Peter were so happy and excited for their portraits, there was even a wardrobe change! It was so amazing to photograph someone who loved photography as much as we do. We exchanged photo stories, shared ideas and learned a lot.
This is one of our favourite portrait sessions this year and we are so thrilled to share it!
