When the grooms family is from Australia and the brides family is from Germany, it only makes sense to elope in Portugal!
Sam and Janine met five years ago in Lagos and returned to tie the knot in the Algarve.
Sam is currently stationed in Dubai and Janine is living in Sydney, so they hadn’t seen each other for three months before coming to Portugal for the wedding. It was such a sweet day and we loved spending it with them. We went EVERYWHERE! It was so awesome.
They had an intimate ceremony over looking the ocean at the Vila Lara resort. There were a couple of dolphins that swam by just to say hello. We also had a couple of ducks that came along for the portraits after.
Once we left the Vila Lara we drove down to Praia Verde for lunch at a beach cafe and walked along the pretty coves and cliffs. Sam even walked away with some Algarve sand permanently trapped in the cuffs of his trousers, as a keepsake from the beautiful day. We then went to a small forest, and a golden field as the sun set, it was an absolute perfect day and we are so honoured we got to be a part of it.
